These terms apply when you book a motorcycle or 4×4 expedition with Nepal Motobiking. Please read them before you pay a deposit – paying one means you accept them on behalf of everyone in your group.
Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we have received your deposit and sent you written confirmation. The balance is due before the trip begins, on the date stated in your confirmation. Prices are per rider and are quoted in the currency shown on the website.
What the price covers
Exactly what is listed as included on the expedition page, and nothing that is listed as excluded. Anything you add on the road – extra nights, meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara, drinks, souvenirs – is yours to settle.
Riders
You must hold a valid motorcycle licence to ride, and we may ask to see it. You must tell us truthfully about your riding experience and about any medical condition that could affect you at altitude. Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs ends your trip immediately, with no refund.
Insurance
Travel insurance is your responsibility and is a condition of joining a trip. It must cover motorcycling, high altitude and helicopter evacuation. We may ask for the policy number before departure.
The motorbike
Normal wear, servicing and mechanical failure are our problem, and we carry spares and a mechanic. Damage caused by a crash, by riding off the agreed route, or by careless or reckless riding is charged to you at cost.
Changes we may have to make
Mountain roads close. Weather, landslides, strikes and permit decisions are outside anyone’s control, and your guide may change the route, the order of the days or the accommodation to keep the group safe. We will always aim to deliver the trip you booked, but safety decides.
Changes you want to make
Tell us as early as you can. We will do what we can to move your dates, subject to availability and to any costs already committed on your behalf.
Cancellation
Set out on the Cancellation Policy page, which forms part of these terms.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for running your trip with reasonable skill and care. Adventure motorcycling at altitude carries risks that cannot be removed, and you accept those risks when you ride. We are not responsible for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, or by your own failure to follow your guide’s instructions.
Photography
We often photograph and film departures. Tell your guide if you would rather not appear in anything we publish, and we will respect that.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Nepal.
